المخيم الحسيني – Hussaini camp 3D Tour
It is the site where Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, descended upon his arrival to the holy city of Karbala on the second of Muharram in the year (61 AH) and set up his family’s tents. It is also the camp in which the family took shelter until the last raid of the Umayyad family, then it was burned and then the children and women were taken captive.
The Husseini camp includes (10) camps, preceded by the tent of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon him, who carries the banner of Imam al-Husayn, peace be upon him, followed by bearings in the form of arches representing howlings and their number (16), and then the building of the large tent, in the middle of which is the tent of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him. The tent of his son Ali al-Akbar And then the mihrab and the tent of Lady Zainab, peace be upon her. Then the tent of Imam Zain al-Abidin, peace be upon him, next to it is a separate building that houses the tent of al-Qasim ibn al-Imam al-Hasan, peace be upon him.
And the last tents are the tents of the companions of Imam Hussain and his supporters (peace be upon them).

What is Arbaeen walk?
The day of Arbaeen marks the 40th day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain(as) on the plains of Karbala. Imam Hussain(as) was martyred in the 7th century. In memory of his sacrifice for the sake of humanity, millions of people from around the globe, walk from Najaf to Karbala which is 80km long. It has 1452 Poles, where on each pole volunteers distribute free meals, drinks, and every such thing which could be in need. Other essentials like medicines, and a place to rest, sleep, or wash is present for those undertaking the pilgrimage.
